Pendulum
Pendulum is an original oil on canvas, painted on high quality deep edge Jacksons Art canvas, varnished with UV protect satin varnish which gives a slight sheen to the surface. Made from a series of works centred on the idea of apparitions, using reference shot with a model in a dark inky blue pool in Sydney, Australia in 2015, the figure appears ghostly surrounded by an ethereal light and emerges from the darkness. I made a number of works during this period, using clothed figures in water, and loved painting the drapery of the fabric as it swayed with the movement of the water.
